Diamine Sapphire Blue Ink

I'm not really keen on light Blue inks, I like a nice dark ink - light coloured inks remind me of the cheap inks you used to get in the disposable cartridges you got with the school pens.

Diamine Sapphire Blue is one of those washed out looking blue inks that I'm not a fan of.

Using a Parker Frontier pen, from the collection, I decided to see if this ink would change my mind.

The ink looks a really light blue (almost like the Quink Washable Blue) I really didn't like the colour at all.

This ink wasn't for me - sorry Diamine.

Diamine Bilberry Ink

So my first review is going to be Diamine Bilberry Ink.

The ink looks like a Purple-Blue on the Diamine website

I ordered the ink from Diamine themselves and it arrived relatively quickly, along with some other inks that will be reviewed in the coming weeks.

So filling my Parker Sonnet fountain pen with this ink I set about trying it out.

The ink itself is a lovely dark Purple, almost Black, and oozes from my Sonnet nib to such an extent that i could see this being a daily writing ink.

The ink is a nice wet ink, in that it lets the nib of the pen flow on the page and takes a little time to dry on the paper. If using a broader nib this may be a problem for some people but personally I prefer a wetter ink.

This is definitely, for me, going to be a permanent ink in one of my pens.
